WHO WE ARE
Hi, I'm Roberta, the soul and heart of Mama Dunia Travel.

My encounter with Tanzania was not just a journey. It was a reminder.
After traveling far and wide, among parks, villages and savannah roads, I chose to transform this knowledge into a project: to create group safari in Tanzania that allow you to experience the country in an authentic way, with carefully studied itineraries and a true knowledge of the area.
I have been working in the area for years together with Clement, my local partner in Tanzania. We have built a collaboration based on direct knowledge of the country and its parks and, with the birth of our own operational headquarters at Arusha, we can directly follow every aspect of the organization of our safaris.
Ours group safari they are designed for small groups, and itineraries that leave room for nature and the unexpected. It's not simply a matter of crossing the parks, but of dedicating time to sightings, observing the behavior of the animals and experiencing the savannah following its rhythms.
During the safari, the group is accompanied by a professional local guide, who deeply knows the territory, the animals and the dynamics of the parks. It is she who leads the group in the field and transforms every day of safari into an experience of knowledge, observation and discovery.
Mama World Travel was born with a precise objective: to create organized trips to Tanzania by combining our knowledge of the area with a professional organization, to allow those who leave with us to experience the savannah in the right way.

ITINERARY
Giorno 1 Welcome to Tanzania
Upon arrival atKilimanjaro International Airport, the local Italian-speaking guide welcomes the group and accompanies them to the lodge.
After check-in, free time to rest and prepare for the safari.
In the evening, during dinner, there will be a short briefing with the guide: the itinerary, the main rules of the parks and some indications for making the most of the game drives and sightings will be presented.
🚙 Transfer: about 1 hour | 🏨 Overnight stay: Arusha

Day 2 Tarangire National Park
After breakfast we depart from Arusha in the direction of Tarangire National Park, the first stop on our safari.
The park is crossed by the Tarangire River and is known in particular for the presence of large herds of elephants, as well as for its characteristic baobabs and open savannah landscapes.
The day will be dedicated to game drive. The guide will choose the tracks to follow from time to time based on the sightings and movements of the animals, letting nature determine the pace of the safari.
In the middle of the day there will be a stop for lunch in a picnic area inside the park. In the afternoon the game drive will continue until the exit from Tarangire and the transfer to the lodge, where an overnight stay is planned.
🚙 Transfer: about 2 hours | 🦁 Game drive: Tarangire
Day 3 Towards the Serengeti park
After breakfast we leave Karatu and head towards the Serengeti. The road crosses the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and, kilometer after kilometre, the landscape changes: from hills and plateaus you move on to immense expanses of savannah.
Entering the Serengeti marks the beginning of one of the most anticipated days of the trip. From this moment there are no pre-established routes: the guide chooses where to go by observing the area and looking for the animals. Zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, elephants and big cats can appear along the route, often when you least expect them.
Il game drive continues to the tented camp, also transforming the transfer into part of the experience. Once at the camp, time to settle in and experience the evening in the heart of the savannah.
🚙 Transfer: about 3 hours | 🏕️ Overnight stay: tented camp inside the park
Day 4 Serengeti National Park
The day is dedicated entirely to Serengeti, without traveling to other parks. It's time to slow down and let the savannah dictate the times.
We leave early, when the morning light is just beginning to illuminate the plains and the animals are still in the midst of their activity. The guide will choose the areas to explore based on sightings and current conditions, trying to intercept the fauna in the different areas of the park.
The safari continues throughout the day, among large open spaces, moving herds and close encounters with wildlife. There is no script: each release can offer something completely different.
After a break for the packed lunch, we return to the slopes in the afternoon and continue until the light begins to change, dyeing the savannah with warmer colours.
🦁 Game drive: full day in the Serengeti | 🏕️ Overnight stay: tented camp in the Serengeti
Day 5 Ngorongoro Crater
Early morning departure towardsNgorongoro Conservation Area, where we will descend into the famous crater, one of the most extraordinary natural environments in Tanzania.
From above the landscape is already spectacular, but it is once at the bottom that the real safari begins: prairies, wetlands and small lakes are home to a large variety of animals, including zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, lions and, with a bit of luck, the rare black rhinoceros.
After the packed lunch, the game drive continues for a few more hours before going back up and returning to the lodge.
🚙 Transfer: approximately 2 and a half hours | 🏨 Overnight stay: lodge in Karatu
