Really exciting excursions! Swimming with dolphins, feeding small fish of a thousand colors while snorkeling and a romantic and relaxing walk on a strip of sand in the middle of the ocean, all this in an excursion organized down to the smallest detail and without any worries by Mama Dunia! After 28 years of trips organized on our own we decided for our safari in Tanzania with Roberta of Mama Dunia Travel and I must say that everything went beyond our expectations, impeccable organization and assistance, lodges and tented camps in wonderful places in contact with the wild nature of Tanzania. A special thought also goes to Daudi, our guide, who made us discover the wonderful country that hosted us for seven days, also introducing us to the habits and customs of the Masai culture. An unforgettable experience between Safari and Zanzibar!
We entrusted the organization of our trip to Roberta, who was fantastic: super good, always present and attentive to every little detail both before and during the trip.
Special thanks also go to Miramboth, our guide during the safari. He was exceptional, very prepared and professional: he made us experience a truly unique safari!
The part in Zanzibar was also managed very well, with beautiful excursions that allowed us to discover wonderful corners of the island.

Trip with Mama Dunia Travel – An experience that remains in the heart

The trip with Roberta, group leader and founder of Mama Dunia Travel, was much more than a simple holiday: it was a real change of perspective: from the frenetic pace of Western life to living according to the "pole pole" and the "hakuna matata", two philosophies which here are not just slogans, but a way of being.
Roberta is not a simple group leader: thanks to the years spent in Africa she perfectly interprets the soul of this island.
From the beginning, he chose accommodation for us far from the usual crowded resorts: a place on a human scale, clean, authentic, where the local staff makes you feel at home without giving up comfort. A perfect balance between tradition and modernity, without one prevailing over the other.
This trip was an intense human experience, which reconnected me with a truer world.
Roberta was able to convey to us the value of slowness, alternating moments of relaxation with exciting excursions, always respecting the local rhythms.
The moments that I will not forget are the Swahili lunch with the spice tour: a total immersion in the local culture.
Roberta uses local guides who speak Italian perfectly and are deeply connected to their land; they explained each dish to us, showing us the simplicity of the ingredients and the richness of the flavours.
I brought home some of those spices, hoping to relive at least some of those scents.
Furthermore, the "private paradise" as I call it: a strip of sand in the middle of the ocean, far from the crowd, where the green of the vegetation blends with the blue of the water. Swimming there, surrounded by colorful fish and with dolphins passing over me was a unique emotion, all in extreme safety.
What about the visit to the local village: a place where people live with dignity, despite having little. The children's smiles, their serenity despite everything, struck me deeply.
I won't forget the evenings in company with lobster and pitch dinners in authentic places, at honest prices, amidst laughter and stories.
I would add that Roberta was attentive and sensitive even in moments when I had some personal difficulties, always making me feel safe.
In summary: a trip that I recommend to anyone who wants to experience the local culture without filters, without feeling like a simple tourist in a resort.
An experience that leaves you inside the eyes of children, the warmth of the earth and the desire to return.
